Gillian Armour, AICI CIP is a style expert and the founder of the eTech school Fashion Stylist Institute. FSI certifies Fashion, Style and Image Consultants the world over with a physical campus in Sacramento, California and online at FashionStylistInstitute.com. FSI graduates are represented globally and define the professionalism of the career. To date FSI has certified over 3000 graduates (many of these are now AICI members and officers).
Armour has published eighteen books about fashion, color, and body type, and has just completed a how-to guide to becoming an Advanced Style Stylist. Gillian has presented for TV as the official Fashion Stylist for the award-winning NBC series “Dream Make-Over.” She is a graduate of the Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising (FIDM), Los Angeles and the founder and COO of BestDressed.org (a 501c3 non-profit benefiting teens and women).
Armour’s background in fashion for companies like Macy*s, I. Magnin, Byer California and Jessica McClintock led her to open a full-service image consultancy to provide everything from simple makeovers to complex image overhauls as well as workshops and classes for clients and those who wish to pursue a career as an image consultant. Her studio includes a fashion library, hair and makeup areas, and a color and style analysis space.
Gillian is a past board member of AICI (SF/ Bay Area, 2008 to 2014) and served as President from 2011 to 2013 and VP of Membership from 2008 to 2011.
