Hello everyone and welcome to the Image Perspective of AICI WEST! It’s September! First of all, I hope everyone had a great Labor Day long weekend. You deserve that! Kids are back to school, we are starting to hear some good news on vaccines for the COVID-19, and more and more stores and restaurants are re-opening. September is filled with an elevating mood.
Looking back at the past six months, our society and lifestyles have drastically changed: social psychology, interactions and communications, business forms, working and leisure locations, dress codes, etiquette, shopping behavior, and more. New norms have been established. The physical distance between people has widened, but the world became smaller through multiple virtual channels at the same time. Gone are the old days, and new opportunities emerged. The future is at our feet. As image professionals, it’s inevitable that we embrace these changes. We need to re-think, re-plan, and re-shape our skills and business. Essentials are: -- What’s the art of conducting a virtual service? -- How to run a profitable business as an entrepreneur? -- How to understand and practice sustainability for protecting the future of our planet, hence, ourselves? As image professionals, we style the future.
