Summer has come to an end as we experience the Autumnal Equinox on September 22nd. The day is as long at the night, and the nights will start to now get longer. Leaves are turning, air is cooling, and we are looking forward to holiday celebrations with our families and friends - although this year, we all know that these gatherings and celebrations will look a bit different.
September is not only a time of seasonal transformation, it is also National Self Care Month, where you should embrace and pursue personal transformation. Self-care means something different to each of us. For me, at its core, it means putting the needs of my well being front and center: health, body, and mind. And in this setting I’d like talk about the mind. I value continuous education as a tenant of my self-care in the form of personal development. I seek out new information and find training in sometimes from the most unexpected and non-traditional sources. And as a member of the Planning Committee for the 2020 Educational Conference, that is what I planned for you...
